Deborah Arakelian served as Executive Story Consultant for Season 1. She wrote the episode "How The Tess Was Won". Additionally, she worked as Story Editor on the NBC-TV series Midnight Caller, was Story Consultant for the series Wolf, and wrote episodes for The Outsiders and Cagney and Lacey. Cagney and Lacey was her first professional writing assignment, and earned her nominations for both a WGA Award and an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series.
Prior to that, she was Assistant to the Producers for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and Production Assistant for Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
