Deborah Pratt (born December 16, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois) was one of the busiest people behind the scenes at Quantum Leap. She was a co-executive producer and a writer on the Quantum Leap (1989) TV series[1] created by her husband at the time, Donald P. Bellisario. She is currently an executive producer on the revival series, Quantum Leap (2022). She has acted in television series including both the original and revival Quantum Leap, Magnum, P.I. and Airwolf. In 2000, she directed Cora Unashamed for Masterpiece Theatre's The American Collection.

In 2006, Deborah began to publish a series of novels with a spiritual science-fantasy theme and an accompanying Web presence, The Vision Quest. The press kit for the novel and website describe The Vision Quest as a "multi-platform entertainment project," including a trilogy of novels and a series of animated Flash movies leading to a feature film, a game and live-action feature film.

Deborah is a recipient of The Lillian Gish Award from Women in Film, The Angel Award, The Golden Block Award, and Six B.E.N. Awards. She wrote many of the landmark episodes, including "The Color of Truth" and "What Price Gloria?" She was the narrator heard on the Saga Sell. She was the voice of Ziggy the computer in several episodes. She also guest-starred as the title character in the Quantum Leap episode "A Portrait for Troian."

  • She has two children including Troian from Pretty Little Liars and Nicolas "Nick".
  • Her character appears in the 2009 fan film Quantum Leap: A Leap to Di For.
  • She wrote Time Child: The Novel, which she connects to the story of Quantum Leap, however, she didn't appear to have any official backing for doing so.
