Dr. Ruth makes an appearance as herself in the episode of Quantum Leap titled "Dr. Ruth", where Sam leaps into her to help a woman who appeared on her TV talk show who was being sexually harassed by her boss. While in the Waiting Room, Dr. Ruth succeeds in helping Al with his love life.
