Dwier Brown (born January 30, 1959) is an American film and television actor. He makes a guest appearance on Quantum Leap as Neil Walters, the older brother of Sam's leapee, Willie Walters, Jr. in 1971 in Sam's hometown Elk Ridge, IN, in the Season Five (episode #11) episode "Promised Land".

Early life[]

Brown was born in Norton, OH. He graduated from Ashland University, in nearby Ashland, OH.[1]

Career[]

In the 1989 film Field of Dreams, which starred Kevin Costner, Dwier played John Kinsella, the father of Kevin Costner's character, and he played Henry Mitchell in Dennis the Menace Strikes Again in 1998. Brown has appeared in a few horror films, such as House (1986) and The Guardian (1990), the latter directed by William Friedkin, who also directed The Exorcist. He has also made appearances on several television series, including Firefly, Criminal Minds, and CBS-TV's Ghost Whisperer.
