Albert "Al" Bellisario is a mysterious bartender Dr. Sam Beckett met in the final episode of Quantum Leap. The part of Al the Bartender is played by actor Bruce McGill. He is heavily implied to be the one behind Sam's leaps (though he claims that Sam is the one behind Sam's leaps) and is also assumed to be God Himself.

Al was based on Donald P. Bellisario's father Al Bellisario. Don said that since his dad created him and Don created Quantum Leap, it made sense to portray him as a God-like figure in the QL universe.
