K Callan (born Katherine Elizabeth Borman on January 9, 1936) is the actress who portrays Lenore MacKenzie, the mother of U.S. Navy vet Charlie MacKenzie. whom Dr. Samuel Beckett leaps into to get Lenore to accept his new Japanese bride as he returns home to Ohio from Japan in 1953, in the Season 2 episode of Quantum Leap, titled "The Americanization of Machiko".

K Callan is perhaps best known for her role as Martha Kent on the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Other than Heroes, K Callan has guest starred on numerous TV shows, which include Dallas, Diagnosis:Murder, Meet the Browns, Mental (2009), ER, Desperate Housewives, and The Mentalist. She also worked with Robert Knepper in the television series Carnivale (2003). She also appeared in the recurring role of Marion Williamson on the ABC-TV sitcom series Coach.
Callan is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Television Academy and is a past Board Member of the Screen Actors Guild. In addition to her work as an actor, she has also authored a string of showbiz reference books: "How to Sell Yourself as an Actor", "The Script is Finished, Now What do I Do?", "Directing Your Directing Career", "The Los Angeles Agent Book" and "The New York Agent Book".
