About Tiger Joe

When Cody's trainer Gomez tells Sam that the sisters are "poor as church mice", he then finds out that the parish, which also has a mission which feeds the poor, either needs to be renovated, or replaced with a new chapel, as he agrees to help, but must prepare for an upcoming local heavyweight championship match with Tiger Joe, as Sister Sarah helps Sister Angela in helping Sam, who's never boxed before try to get in boxing shape, as she serves as "cornerman" for Father Mulrooney in a sparring session, which he wins easily over Sam, who somehow, with Mr Gomez's strictly intense exercise regime to help get him into shape for the tough-as-nails Jackson.
During the championship fight, Jackson gains the upper hand and knocks Sam down. However, seeing Sister Angela's disappointed expression in the crowd, Sam gets back up. At his instruction, Dixie streaks for the crowd, creating a diversion which allows Sam to overcome Jackson. Finally, with Al's help, Sam applies the finishing jabs and manages to knock Jackson out, winning the match.
