Tommy Thompson (born September 7, 1957) wrote or co-wrote a total of fourteen episodes of Quantum Leap; he also produced or co-produced a total of 38.
Tommy got his start writing for episodes of series such as Out of This World and B.L. Stryker. In 1992, he wrote episodes of a short-lived series called Tequila & Bonneti for his QL boss Donald P. Bellisario.
After Quantum Leap was cancelled, he wrote episodes of The Pretender, which shared some story similarities to QL, as well as episodes of SeaQuest 2032, Viper, Dark Angel and Odyssey 5. His most recent TV writing credit is for Kyle XY in 2007.
